what is wuyi tea

Wu-yi tea is from Mount Wuyi,wu yi shan (In 1999, Mount Wuyi entered UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites, both natural and cultural. ),Fujian,China.
Numerous types of tea are produced around Mount Wuyi, it is the origin of the real Da Hong Pao tea and Lapsang souchong, further described in Wuyi tea (pronounced Woo Yee) . chinese character: ÎäÒIJè.
In China,wuyi tea have a long history,and formed the unique wuyi tea culture .

There are three category wu yi teas, wu yi green tea , wu yi oolong tea(wu long tea)and Wu Yi black tea :

wu yi green teas: Wu Yi Jin Mei (also called Wu Yi Golden Eye Brow),Qu Hao ,Xue Ya
wu yi oolong teas: Da Hong Pao ,Traditional Rou Gui ,Traditional Shui Jin Gui ,Shui Xian (Wang),etc
In Mount Wuyi,around 6% of its total production is green tea ,Oolong is 80% and Black teas made up the rest at 14% .

As other teas,wu yi tea,especialy wu yi oolong tea helps you lose weight.
A recent Japanese and Chinese research shows that daily consumption of Oolong tea is effective in the control of body weight
